Half term just got even better. Don’t miss the School Holiday Heroes, back at PizzaExpress. Epsom Ghost Stories: In 1897 crowds gathered just before midday in the Market Place to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. At midday, the chimes rang out loud and clear! To cue the singing of the national anthem.
There was just one problem… The Clock Tower was covered in scaffolding, and its heavy bell had been removed.
Some locals believed a ghost haunted the tower — or the old Watch House that once stood there.
A spooky coincidence or something supernatural? What do YOU think?
