Epsom has an active BCRP (Business Crime Prevention Partnership). More than 100 businesses, as well as the local Council and Police, are active members of it.
We all have an interest in making Epsom a safe and pleasant place to visit. To achieve this, we share information about offending and the offenders that are guilty of it. We log all offences, no matter how small, not just of theft but attempted theft, violence, intimidation of staff and threatening behaviour. In practice, this means that even a small theft in one business is logged on our systems and visible to all members immediately.
This information and images of offenders are shared amongst members of Epsom’s BCRP using Disc software. We share this information with other established and properly constituted BCRP’s, all with the intention of gathering evidence and information to pass to Police to prevent and reduce crime.
Epsom BID Ltd is registered with the ICO and is signed up to all information-sharing protocols with local authorities. If you would like more information or would like to join DISC please contact us Here
