Go Epsom is delighted to announce the installation of 5 new artworks at Epsom Station. They are a continuation of the 10 stunning posters which were unveiled last year, all created by talented artist Eliza Southwood. The new artworks are accompanied by explanatory text, intended to build awareness of Epsom’s place in history in an accessible, colourful and visual medium.
All station users will see the artworks as they either start or finish their journey into Epsom, the panels are replicated on both walls of the main concourse.
Spanning centuries, the panels tell a story. From the discovery of Epsom Salts, through the Spa Town period, the evolution of horse racing, famous residents, groundbreaking music therapy in the 1960s to the creative hub that is Epsom today. The art gently informs and prompts visitors to explore Epsom.
