A Stunning New Look for Epsom Station

Passengers arriving and departing from Epsom station will be treated to a stunning series of newly unveiled artworks this Spring as a series of 10, unique and exclusive illustrations go on show.

Commissioned by Go Epsom, the Business Improvement District, the artworks are a visual representation of the very best of Epsom. From green open spaces to Epsom Salts, horse racing to heritage buildings and creativity to markets, Epsom’s current and historical assets have been visually represented by British Artist Eliza Southwood.

Reminiscent of iconic travel posters from the 1920’s, the artworks will be printed on plywood, an unusual and innovative method, to reduce the use of plastics, they should be unveiled in May.

Karen Pengelly, BID Manager at Go Epsom said “We are so happy with Eliza’s work, she has captured Epsom beautifully, it’s a lovely town with a really interesting history. Eliza is telling a visual story about Epsom, a reminder of the town’s notoriety as one of the first spa towns and leisure destinations, it links to famous events in history and its heritage. As rail passenger numbers increase from June onwards, these artworks will be an absolute treat for travellers.”
